WHAT IS IN JO LAUREN BABY MASSAGE OIL?
With the ability to reduce infections in babies, baby massage oil has a very special place in our baby care collection. We created one that harnesses the amazing healing powers of calendula and chamomile.
Jo Lauren’s Baby Massage Oil is a light-weight baby massage oil with the unmistakeably warm summer scent of calendula and chamomile flowers. Our baby massage oil soaks into skin instantly and does not leave an oily or sticky after feel. Made with 100% USDA certified organic ingredients, no essential oils or preservatives added, absolutely zero toxin and nasties. Just the way we like it.
HOW TO USE JO LAUREN BABY MASSAGE OIL?
Dispense a few drops into baby’s bath water for a moisturizing baby bath! Then, after bath time before pjs, take some time to give your baby a massage with our baby massage oil. Baby will sleep better and longer, so will you!
For Lauren, I usually start from her lil feet. Using both my left and right thumbs, I’d use some baby massage oil and gently massage her soles in a circular motion. For some reason, she really likes this and always chuckles. Then, I’d massage her calves and thighs using long strokes in an upward direction towards her belly. After which, I’d rub the baby massage oil between my palms to warm it up a little and give her a tummy rub. Do it in a circular clockwise direction, from above her navel down towards her left thigh and then her right. In her infant days, this really helped get rid of “excess air” and gas pains.
I’d always end off with a facial massage! Using both my left and right thumbs again, I’d quickly and lightly brush her forehead upwards repeatedly, from between her eyebrows up towards her hairline. This is very soothing and calming. I’d repeat the same for both her left and right cheeks, just for the fun of it and also because she really likes it.
Whichever method you use to massage your baby, do it gently with patience and love. We may not be professional masseuses but baby definitely loves our massage the most! Just a little of our baby massage oil goes a long way! Always perform the baby massage when baby is relaxed and alert. If baby is overtired, he or she may start fussing!
